Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop

Hi there dear friends!  I know it's been a while since I've blogged and I am so happy to finally be back.  We've had some difficulties here at home and it has affected me down to the very depths of my heart.  I don't want to go into it fully here, but I craft with all my heart and it has been near impossible for me to craft at all!  Day by day my spirit has strengthened and I can see that this will be a time of growth for me.   I am so thankful for the Lord who is carrying me though this difficult time.  I can't do it without Him!!  So, today I finally took the plunge and got my goodies out and I was able to put some things together.
Here's
The-Challenge
This month, it's all about being interactive! Show us how you take your cards to the next level, whether you have received your Movers & Shakers dies, or you're just inspired to create a pop up or swinging card without them. There are so many options for this theme, and we can't wait to see what you have to share!
and here's my take on the challenge:
I made a traditional slider card using a ribbon.  I stitched the edges together with my sweet little mini machine.
I used PTI's Beautiful Butterflies and Lovely Leaves stamp sets.  The ribbon is PTI's Fine Linen Satin Ribbon spritzed with a little Cherub Pink Tattered Angels mist....I am so loving this combination!

I used Verve New Mercies Stamps on the inside of the card.  It was the perfect sentiment for how I am feeling today!  Peace in the midst of the storm...it's a comforting feeling!!

The colors for today's project were inspired by the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room #102!
PTI Supplies Used:
Rustic Cream Cardstock
Lovely Leaves Stamps
Beautiful Butterflies and Dies
Filigree Border Die
Heart Border Die
Aqua Mist Ink
Berry Sorbet Ink
Simply Chartreuse Ink
Fine Linen Ribbon

Other Supplies:
Tattered Angels Cherub Pink Mist
Tim Holtz Spun Sugar and Tea Dye Distress Ink
Fruit Punch Stickles
Prima Lace
Recollections Pearls
Verve New Mercies Stamps
Have a wonderful evening!

Happy Valentine's Day with Glitz Design

Happy Valentine's Day dear friends!!! I have some fun little Valentine's Day cards for you today made with Glitz Design's new line, Happy Travels!!!

The first card features a sweet little Happy Travels Glitzer airplane with a trail of hearts behind it.  I can't wait to give this card to my sweetie!! The sentiment "Let's get away together", says it all!!!
I stamped the card base with the Happy Travels map stamp and layered the sticker right over the top.  I used another Glitzer Sticker for the sentiment with the help of some AC Honey Thickers.
Supplies Used:
Glitz Designs Happy Travels 6x6 Paper Pad
Glitz Designs Happy Travels Stamps
Glitz Designs Happy Travels Glitzers
Glitz Designs Happy Travels Giant Rhinestones
Other Supplies:  Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Cardstock and Heart Border Die; My Craft Spot Baker's Twine; Crinkle Ribbon by MemrieMare; American Crafts Honey Thickers; Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink

The next card is a bit more romantic with a Heart Doily and a Happy Travels Layered Sticker.
I used the layered sticker as the focal point and layered it over patterned paper, the doily and lace.  I used the leftovers from the heart border die cut from the previous card as the decorative edge on this card.  I just love utilizing leftovers!!!  I layered the Glitzer sentiment onto rustic cream cardstock and adhered it to the sticker.

Supplies used:
Glitz Designs Happy Travels 6x6 Paper Pad

Glitz Designs Happy Travels Layered Stickers
Other Supplies: Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Cardstock and Heart Border Die; Crinkle Ribbon by MemrieMare; Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink

Prickley Pear Mondays - Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps

Happy Monday dear friends!!  I'm back with another Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps card idea for you.  For today's post I used Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps:
I just love this stamp set and this time of the year it totally comes in handy.  There are also some wedding themed stamps in this set and I don't know about you, but I'm always so focused on purchasing a wedding gift, I always forget about the card.  The card I made for today's post literally takes 5 minutes to make and is perfect for those last minute, oops, I forgot to buy a card days!
I printed out some RonnaDesigns digital paper from her Kiss Me Kits Bundle, and die cut a heart in the bottom right corner.  I stamped the swans onto the card base where the heart is located and then layered the printed paper over the top using dimensional adhesive.
I added a die cut border, bow, button and sentiment banner and the card was finished.  Quick and homemade.  Just perfect for the bride and groom!!

Supplies used:
Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps  Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps
RonnaDesigns Kiss Me Kits Bundle
Hand Dyed Seam Binding: MemrieMare
Papertrey Ink Die Cuts: Filigree Border and Heart Prints

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

I am inspired by each and every one of PTI's deisgners! They all motivate me to get out of my box and try something new!!  Not only is the design team amazing, but there stamp designers are too!  Sometimes I think we forget about their stamp designers and I want to give a shout out to Melissa Bickford!!
