Will wonders never Cease???

I just can't believe that we are nearing the end of July!! Part of me is sad!! Summer is almost over and I just love the summer. Part of me is glad, because that means that Benny will be home soon!!!! I just can't wait!!! It seems a lot of my pages are of Benny these days!! I miss him so much and last week when I talked with him, he just seemed so downcast.
We did receive a letter from him on Friday and it was the sweetest, most heartfelt letter he has sent to date!!! At first, when I got the letter, I was so excited!!! I was going to go home and savor every bit of it!! Then, when I got home and read the envelope, I realized it was specifically for my husband! What a let down, ha ha!!! I couldn't wait for my sweetie to arrive home so he could share it with me! The letter was amazing!!! He has grown up so much in these past months! He thanked his dad for being the dad he is and told him that he wouldn't be the man he is today without him. Wow!! These two are so much alike and they go round and round sometimes and to have Benny honor his dad like that was truly amazing. He also went on to say that he and the Lord have built up quite a relationship...Wow!!! Exactly what I have been praying for!!! We treasure each and every letter we have received from our son and this week's letter just that much more!! What a blessing!!

How amazing it was that the song this week is Good Guys Win by Jimmy Buffet. The first line of the song states, "So you're lookin for a hero". Of course, I had to take the hero out of that line and scrap about Our Hero!!! The pictures are of his swearing in and of the first time he tried on his uniform. The airmail envelopes have significant meaning as he was told by some of the guys in his platoon that if he put 2 stamps on his letters, that would make them "Air Mail" and they would get to us faster, lol!!! We couldn't figure out why he kept putting two stamps on his mail and then I finally got a chance to ask him....he just shook his head and laughed and so did we!! Too funny!! I will stick all the letters we have received from him inside those envelopes for safe keeping and for future reading pleasure. I just love my boy!!! He is amazing! He is our hero!!!
Friday Cropper's Club

We had a blast at Friday Cropper's Club!! My friend Erika brought her Scripture Challenge project with her and worked on a sweet Baby Album for her sweet baby boy due in the next few weeks!! I can't wait to see her album full of pictures of her sweet little bundle of joy!!!
My dear friend Cindy and Melinda worked on an array of projects!!!! By the way, you would never believe they are mother and daughter!!! Which one is the mother???? They both are beautiful, inside and out!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed these ladies!!! We had the best time visiting and scrapping together and that's what Friday Cropper's Club is all about!!!! (I think I owe all three of them couselor fees though...they rock!!!)

This is my Scripture Challenge layout. The word was Immutable meaning God is unchanging.
Journaling states: Even during the changing seasons of life, You never Change!!! Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever...Hebrews 13:8

These are the seasons of change....being empty nested, my dh taking significant paycuts at his main job, Benny off at Boot Camp, losing part of my School hours and I'm not sure if I will have any hours at all....... I can be certain that God never changes. He always stays the same!!!
Thanks be to God!!!!

Scrapping the Music #95

Happy Sunday everyone!!! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!! I was able to get some weeding done and my refigerator cleaned out!! Whoo hoo!! It feels good to get some of those things done!! I have lots more to do, but that is a great start to the week!!

Scrapping the Music #95 is based on the song If Today Was Your Last day by Nickelback. I chose this picture of me and my son because this was taken in December of 2007 after I had gotten back from a visit with my mom who was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was a very emotional time when I got back home and Ben and I were having a little fun. Little did I know that a year from that time, my son would decide that he wanted to join the military. My mom has since joined the saints in heaven and my son is in boot camp as we speak. You never know
what tomorrow will bring, live each moment!!
I used Cosmo Cricket papers and blackboard flowers along with a Hambly overlay for this project.

Little Red Scrapbook

I just loved the Little Red Scrapbook kit this month!!! The papers were so much fun to work with and the colors are so bright and pretty!!

My sweet daughter came to Montana last month to pick up her sweet little puppy!!! Her name is Lola and she is a Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier mix. Our two dogs, Lily and Charley are the same breed and it is so fun to have another one in the family. In fact, I am elated to have a "Grand" puppy!!!! It was only natural that I would scrap Lola with these fun papers.

In the first layout the title speaks for itself!!!
The second layout features a picture of momma and puppy!! Aren't they sweet???

I just had to do a beach layout!!! These papers are perfect for any kind of water activity!!!
These pictures were taken last year during our visit with Matt and Beth at Point No Point across the sound from Seattle. I just love these pictures of my beautiful kids!!!
My last layout had to be another beach layout, but this photo was taken about 19 years or so ago. The title, again, speaks for iteself!!

I also posted a new card class on my Friday Croppers Club Blog if you are interested!
Thanks for stopping by!!!!
Have a great evening!!

The songs have been so fun to work with!!! They have totally brought me out of my Scrapper's Block and inspired me these past few weeks!!!
Scrapping the Music #94 is based on the song What I like about you by the Romantics!! What a fun song to scrap! I decided it would be fun to use an old picture of my husband with our kids. I love what a great dad he is!! He's the best!!!

Happy Monday!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!! I trust you had a wonderful 4th of July!!! Mine was a little lonely with my kids scattered all over the US and my sweetie working, but I had a very nice time watching the fireworks display with my sweet mother-in-law and sister-in-law!! What really made my weekend fantastic was hearing from Benny yesterday!!!! I just love seeing his sweet face on my cell phone!!! I nearly jump up and down with joy when I see that it is him and then I remember I better answer it so it doesn't go to the message machine!!!
I just had to do a page about the excitement I feel when I see his face appear on my phone!! I used my Color me Daisy July kit featuring Lime Rickey papers for this one! I just love this kit! The colors and the papers are so much fun and absolutely Perfect for masculine layouts!!!

Scrapping the Music

Scrapping the Music #93 features the theme song from Cheers!!!! What a great song to scrap! I thought the lyrics would be perfect with a picture of my daughter moving in to her new apartment. She is working hard to make it in the world today and I am soooo proud of her!! Lots of Sassafrass Lass goodies along with October Afternoon goodies. Two of my very favorite manufacturers!!

Happy July!!!!

Wow, June flew right on by!!! I barely noticed it was there!! Now we are in the heart of summer and I am determined not to miss it!!! Anyone else know what I'm talking about???

I have been working on several projects over the last few days and it is time to share some of them with you!!!

So Sketchy

My days as a So Sketchy Sista have come to an end sadly enough! I loved being on the DT tremendously and will continue to play with Ally's amazing sketches in the days to come. I have one more project to post in the next few days....so stay tuned!! This layout was made with the amazing Webster's Pages Sweet as Cherry Pie line. I think it is my favorite of Webster's Pages yet!!! I can't wait to see what they have in store next!!

This 4th of July picture was taken in 1996. Aren't we a sweet little family!! I loved 4th of July in Greeley, Colorado!!! The parade, the Independence Stampede, and the fireworks all bring back fantastic memories of yesterday!!!

Color Me Daisy

This month's Color Me Daisy kit is absolutely fantastic!!! Check out all the goodness in the Summertime Fun kit!!!

This kit is brimming with possibilities!!!
My first layout with this kit I used the song from this month's Scrapping The Music song featuring Beautiful Sunday by Daniel Boone. If you haven't heard it before, stop by STM and check it out!! It has such a happy melody and lyrics that I just had to use my CMD kit for this layout!! The lyrics state: I think I'll take a walk in the Park.
Of course, my idea of a Park is Yellowstone National Park. We went to the "Park" last Saturday and had a very Beautiful Day!!! The picture of my sweetie and I holding hands signifies us taking that walk in the "Park". We happened upon a Momma black bear and she treated us to a tree climb to divert our attention away from her two cubs!!! Absolutely awesome!! And of course, no visit to YNP isn't complete without a stop at Old Faithful. We arrived 5 minutes before she was supposed to erupt and sure enough, she was faithful!!! "Hey, Hey, Hey It's a Beautiful Day!!!

Last but not least, is a little card set that we are making at Friday Cropper's Club. If you are interested, please click on the link in the upper right hand side of my blog.
We will be using OA goodies for the next couple of weeks at FCC. So stay tuned!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! I promise to be a better blogger in the days to come!!!!

May the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. Numbers 6:25

Have a great day,
