Smile, It's Monday!!

Ok, so I am having to convince myself to smile today!  The weekend went by so fast and this week is going to be so busy!!!  I still have to go in early and stay late all week at school, I have to work tonight and Wednesday at Hallmark, and we will travel to Billings on Saturday for soccer. Soccer will be questionable, however, as we have several inches of snow on the ground from a winter-like storm yesterday.   But, I will choose to remember that "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it"!  So, as I'm typing this post, I am smiling!!  The day will be what it is and I will choose joy today!!

Prom was a successs this year!! It was not traditional in any sense of the word, but I do believe that the kids had a great time!!  I have several pics of my handsome young man!! Boy, does he clean up nice!!
They went to dinner at a cute little restaurant and then went on over to the school for the Grand March.  The Grand March takes about an hour and a half and they were #59, so they were done in the first 40 minutes or so, which was a good thing because she had a singing engagement that she had to attend.   He drove her to her school so she could perform and they were done with that about 10:30.  Benny texted his friends and they had already left the dance.  Wow, that was quick!!  They ended up going to the show and watching Monsters vs. Aliens.  They loved the movie!!  Then they came over and played Halo.  Nontraditional, but they had a great time!  You do what you got to do!!

Scrapping the Music #79 is based on Dave Matthew's Everday.  It is a fantastic song to scrap!!!   I hope you all hop on over and check out this week's challenge!!
I chose the lyrics Fight for everyday, Love everyday for this week's layout.  My
sweet middle daughter continues to meet challenges as she tries to meet her goals and my heart just aches for her.  It just seems like it is one thing after the other and I sense she is getting worn out.  Keep fighting my sweet girl.  You are growing stronger every day!!

As I have been working on my bible study this week, I have been meditating on Esher 4:14, "And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"  What is our destiny?  Why are we where we are?  God has a plan for each and every one of us, and I have to be in tune to his leading and guiding.  What is His plan??  What is His plan for my sweet girl??  These are the Questions I will be pondering today!!

May you be in tune with Him this day and choose to smile!!

I do have some exciting news today!!!!  My friend Paloma, from Studio Calico asked me some time ago to be a Guest Designer at the Scrapidees Blog!!  You will have to check out the blog and
see what they did with my sketch!!!!  They are all amazing!!!  What an amazingly talented group of ladies!!!  I am humbled and totally in awe!!!  I used this layout, which is one of my favorites:
and they totally rocked it!!!  You will have to take a moment and check out the blog!!  There are some amazing sketches and some fabulous work!!!

As promised I am posting the last of my Seattle trip pictures.  Any  one who knows me fairly well, knows that one of our favorite pastimes is going to a coffee shop and spending some time chatting and enjoying one another's company!!  We went to the Poulsbo bakery, which is the best bakery ever, and then across the street to Hot Shots Java.  What a cute little place!!  So much character and just a fun place to chat!!!  As you can see from the pictures below, we had a very enjoyable time!!

Aren't they gorgeous!!!

We were able to see the Kitty Hawk from a distance.  What an amazing sight that was!!

One of my favorite things we did was visit Anthropologie in downtown Seattle!!!

It is now my favorite store!!!  I could spend hours in there!!!  I came home with a set of pretty little pink glasses!! Aren't they cute???

Well, I had best get in gear.  I have so much to do and so little time!!
Thanks for taking time to check out my blog and I hope you have a fabulous day!!!

I've been tagged

My friend Carla tagged me and is making me take a picture of myself and post it right now.  My husband thinks all this blogging stuff is pretty funny anyway, and had to get into the picture.  If you look closely you can see his beady little eye on the right side of the photo!  too funny!!  He is such a good sport about all of this stuff anyway, I love that he got into the spirit of things, so to speak!!  You rock oh husband of mine!!!  I hate pictures of myself, but I did just recently get my hair cut, so that makes it not quite so bad!!
So now I have to tag 5 people....Lets see I choose Jocelyn, Julie, Lisa, Susan Beth, and Mara.  Ladies you need to go take a picture of yourself right here, right now, and post it on your blog!!!
Go for it girls!! Lets see those beautiful pics!!!

As I promised, I am posting the cards for my last Thursday Class for KBD.    The papers are from Graphic 45's Fashionista line.  What a gorgeous line of paper!!!  I hope those of you who are taking this class enjoy these cards!!!

Also, as promised I have some more pictures from our trip to Seattle!!  While we were visiting Matt and Beth, they learned that the offer they had placed on a house was accepted!!! Our kids are going to be home owners!!!!  Whoo hoo!!  What exciting news!!!  Aren't they positively beaming??

Here they are peaking into the window of the house.  We had to go take a peek while we were there.  The realtor wasn't with us, so we had to look through the windows.  We were able to see most of the house and it is such a cute little house!!!

This is what we saw through the front door.  Way cute, isn't it!!
They live on a point and have peek a boo views of the Sound.

Here they are in front of the house!  As I sit here typing I am smiling from ear to ear!!!  I am soooo proud of them!!!

I will post some more pictures tomorrow.  We just had such a great time with our kids!! They are awesome!!!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!!!

We're back!!!!

Wow!!! What an awesome Spring Break!!!!  Although from the picture below, you would never guess it was Spring and the picture wasn't even taken in Montana, lol!!  Who would have guessed we would leave 50 degree weather in Montana for the cold, snowy weather in Seattle!!  We seem to always find the cold spots during Spring Break, lol.  I remember the year we went to Arizona and we had snow in Kingman and had to wear our winter coats to Spring Training in Tucson. You never know!!
It was so good to see Matt and Beth!!  They are doing fantastic and it truly seems that Seattle agrees with them!!!  We did some shopping in downtown Seattle, had some coffee and pastries in Poulsbo, and ate way tooo much.  We went and looked at houses with them and just toured around the area.  It was a great time!!  The next picture was taken on our last night with them.   Of course we had to eat at the Boat Shed in Bremerton and the food was delicious.  Don't they look fantastic!!
I will post more pictures of our trip tomorrow.  I have lots of layouts to post tonight and I need to get some sleep!!!

The first one is for last week's Scrapping the Music Challenge #77.  I used my Studio Calico kit and Ben wasn't too excited about the colors.  I thought it was fun and I loved how the Sassafrass Lass paper accentuated the motion in the bottom picture.  This week's challenge is based on White Horse by Taylor Swift.  I hope you can play along!!!
The next layout was done for the So Sketchy Blog by Allison Cope.  The inspiration for this layout came from Nicole Harper who used the city scape on a layout for Studio Calico
I thought it would be fun to do a layout adding the Space Needle to the city scape with the title being:  We left our Hearts in Seattle.  Every time we visit our kids, we always leave a part of our hearts there!!   I used my Studio Calico kit for this layout too!! I am just loving the March kit.  It is awesome!!  The sketch by Allison is fantastic and I hope you take some time to check out the blog!!!

The next layouts are for the Little Red Scrapbook March kit.  I had a lot of fun with these 3 Bugs in a Rug papers.  You will have to check out LRS for the March DT Challenge.  It is all about journaling.  I don't journal much on my layouts and I am wanting to get more intimate in what I say to my family, so I am working on journaling.

I loved this Crate Paper die cut, it is perfect for journaling.  This is a note to my sweet Heidi with a quote stating:  Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own Sunshine.
The next layout is another journaling challenge- Journal one word per line.  I used the quote: "Life is a rainbow, you need both the sun and the rain to make the colors appear".  Learning to walk has its ups and downs, but when it all comes together you get a smile like this on your face!!
The next layout is of our home.  I just love our home!! We are soooo very blessed!!
The last layout is of My Little Cookie Monster.  She always loved to help make cookies!!!  I don't know if you can see, but she has flour all over her face!  What a sweetie!!
I used my Cricut to make this fun little strawberry card.  You just gotta love that little machine!! It makes your supplies soooo versatile!
I have lots of pictures of our trip to Seattle to share tomorrow!!
I will be working like crazy to get my kits together for my last class at Keepsakes.  I will post pictures of them tomorrow too!!

Hope you all have a Fantastic Monday!!

So Sketchy News

So Sketchy is having a Guest Designer Call/Contest for the month of April!!!
You can check it out here!!!

Seattle Here we come!!!

Whooo hoo!!!  We leave for Seattle today!!! I am soooo excited to see my kids!!! We haven't seen them since Christmas and I am dying to give my sweet daughter a great big squeeze!!!  We will drive to Spokane tonight and then leave for a short drive to Seattle tomorrow!!!  You should see the great big smile on my face!!!

I am almost ready!!!  I have most everything finished from Monday's list.  The house isn't as clean as I was hoping for it to be and my clothes are on my bed rather than in the suitcase but I will be ready to go this afternoon just the same!!  I can finish cleaning when I get back!!  I finished all the layouts that I was working on, whew!!!!  I wish I could post them all but I will get them posted as soon as they are posted on their respective sites!!!

Mr. Panther was a huge success!!!  It was a sold out show and the emcees were totally awesome as Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World.  Our high school english teacher totally rocked as Garth!!! He totally had me in tears a couple of times!!!

I just have to say, my kid has rythm.  I don't know where he got it from, but he can dance!!!
The first 2 pictures are from the opening dance and garbage band scene.  Way fun!!!
For his talent, Benny started with the chicken dance and ended up with a rapper's bird dance....Way fun!!!

He had the Miami Vice look going for his formal wear.
He had the roughneck look for his interview.
and he had the Baywatch lifeguard theme going for his swimwear competition.

It was a fantastic show and a lot of fun was had by all!!!

I hope you have a great weekend!!
I will be back in a few days!!

Tonight's the night!!!

It's Mr. Panther night!! Whoo hoo!! I am so excited!!  It should be a lot of fun and quite entertaining!!!  The only problem is....is Benny was sick yesterday.  He has a sinus cold and it is sapping all of his energy.  Poor guy!!!  I hope everything comes together for him!  He has put a lot of time and effort into this and I hope he just has fun!!!  I am also hoping we will get some good pictures.  It is so hard to take photos in the auditorium...I'm crossing my fingers!!

Here are the rest of my LRS sneaks!!!  I had a lot of fun with this kit and I can't wait until the reveal!!!

I am not quite ready to leave for Seattle yet!!  I almost have my laundry finished.  I will have to pack tonight when we get home and I still have a project to finish.  Wish me luck!!

I hope you have a great day!!!
I will post some pictures tomorrow morning-hopefully!!
